Campaign themes

2014

Norton's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[1]

I believe we should:
  • Increase funding for education - not additional regulation and standards - we should let teachers teach and pay them accordingly. Our future depends on it.
  • Decrease business regulation and red tape - we can't grow our economy with more and more absurd rules.
  • Increase funding for state parks and other environmental protection programs - our resources and public lands are important for tourism as well as sustainability.
  • Invest in transportation and infrastructure as I take the long view on Florida's economy.[2]
