Donald A. Myers, Jr. was a judge of the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He was elected to this position without opposition on August 24, 2010, and was sworn in the following January. He was re-elected to a new six-year term in 2016.[1][2][3][4] Myers retired from the court on January 3, 2022.[5]
Education
Myers received his B.S. degree (in psychology) and his master's degree (in medical science) from Emory University. Prior to attending law school, he worked in the field of speech, language and hearing disorders. He then earned his J.D. degree from the University of Florida.[1][2]
Career
Myers began his career with the law firm of Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor, and Reed, P.A. He later worked with Parrish & Bailey, P.A. and became a partner in Bailey & Myers, P.A. He was elected to the circuit court in 2010.[1]
Elections
2016
Florida's 20 circuit courts all had seats up for election in 2016. Of the 151 seats up for election, 125 saw only one candidate file for the election. The unopposed races were canceled and the sole candidates were automatically elected. Of the 26 opposed races, only 10 saw more than two candidates file. [6]

Myers ran unopposed and was automatically elected in the August 24, 2010 primary.[7][8]
