Douglas Staskal

Douglas Staskal is a judge of District 5C of Iowa. He was appointed to this position in February 2001.[1] He was most recently retained in 2014 for a term that expires on December 31, 2020.[2]

Staskal was retained to the District 5C Court with 71.2 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [2]
Education
Staskal received his bachelor's and J.D. degrees from the University of Iowa in 1976 and 1979, respectively.[1]
Career
Staskal began his career as an assistant attorney general and an assistant state appellate defender. He also worked as a private practice lawyer for 10 years before he joined District Five as a district associate judge in January of 1996. He was promoted to district judge in February of 2001.[1]
