Emmy Thevanesan was an at-large member of the Greece Central School District Board of Education in New York. She was elected to the board in the general election on May 19, 2015, and she served until her resignation in 2016.[1][2]

Three of the nine at-large seats on the Greece Central School District Board of Education were up for general election on May 19, 2015. The seats held by incumbents Joe Grinnan, Adam Crandall and Julia VanOrman were on the ballot. Crandall and VanOrman did not file to run for re-election, leaving Grinnan and two challengers, Richard Cunningham and Emmy Thevanesan, to run unopposed and win the three seats.

Funding

Thevanesan reported no contributions or expenditures to the New York State Board of Elections in the election.[3][4]

Candidates had to file finance statements if they spent more than $500 on their campaign. The statements had to be filed with the clerk of the school district as well as the New York Commissioner of Education on April 20, 2015, May 14, 2015, and June 8, 2015. Candidates who did not spend more than $500 on their campaign had to file a signed statement to that effect with the clerk of the school district.[5]
