Eugene C. Turner
Eugene C. Turner was a county judge of the Collier County Court of Florida. He was appointed to this position in 1982 (effective in 1983) and stepped down on January 8, 2013 after losing a bid for re-election in 2012.[1][2][3]
Education
Turner received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida and his J.D. degree (1974) from the University of Baltimore.[2]
Career
Turner began his career in 1974 as an assistant state attorney in the 20th Judicial Circuit. He the worked as a private general practice lawyer from 1977 until he joined the County Court in 1983.
2012 election
Turner was defeated by challenger Jim McGarity in the general election on Nov. 6, 2012, receiving 44.8 percent of the vote. He previously received 42.5 percent of the vote in the primary election on August 14, 2012.[3][4][5][6]
