February 11, 2010
Alabama: The 11th Federal Circuit Court ruled on Wednesday, February 10, that it is constitutional for the state of Alabama to require more signatures to get an independent U.S. House candidate on a ballot than it takes to get on an independent presidential candidate. The ruling came about as a result of a Coalition for Free & Open Elections sponsored lawsuit aimed at overturning the law.[1]
