Former D.A. named to 22nd District

Colorado: Due to the death of former D.A. Jim Wilson, of the 22nd Judicial District, Governor Bill Ritter has appointed Mark Myers, former district attorney of the 9th Judicial District, to fill the vacancy. Myers served as the 9th District D.A. for two terms from 1997 to 2005, and as the deputy D.A. in the 22nd District from 2005 to 2007. Ritter made the announcement saying, "I am grateful he has agreed to once again serve the people of Colorado and the people of the 22nd Judicial District. I know he will do so with distinction."[1]
