Kentucky: On Wednesday, October 26, former Murray State University Board of Regents Chairman Alan Stout adopted the title of U.S. Bankruptcy Judge as he began work as the newest member of the Western District of Kentucky Bankruptcy Court. Judge Stout will be working primarily at the court's headquarters in Louisville, but will also be taking care of matters in the Owensboro satellite. Judge Stout submitted his application upon Judge David T. Stosberg retirement from the position last year, "When Judge Stosberg announced his retirement, I said, 'I'm going to apply one time, and if I get it, so be it, and if I don't get it, then it wasn't to be and I'll keep practicing law.'"[1]
