Fred G. Alexander was the District 4 representative on the Anderson One School Board in South Carolina.[1] He served from 1990 until he passed away in November 2017. His last term was set to end in 2018.

Alexander ran unopposed for re-election in the general election on November 4, 2014.

Alexander was employed in the insurance sales and management industry before working for the U.S. Postal Service. He retired from there after 14 years of service.[2]

The November 4, 2014, general election in Anderson School District One featured four seats up for election. Incumbents in Districts 1, 4, 5 and 7, Melissa Ellison Hood, Fred G. Alexander, Doug Atkins and Nancy Owen Upton, respectively, ran unopposed and won re-election.

Funding

Candidates were required to file a quarterly finance report with the South Carolina State Ethics Commission for the November general election by October 10, 2014. This report covered the period of July 1, 2014, through September 30, 2014. Candidates were also required to file a pre-election report no later than 15 days prior to the election. A final report is due after the campaign has closed. Candidates for local school boards may not accept more than $1,000 from individuals and $5,000 from political parties.[3]
