Glenn was admitted to the Kansas Bar in 1970. He has served as a judge for the Fifteenth Judicial District.

Schiffner ran unopposed for re-election on Nov. 6, 2012. On Nov. 6, 2012, he was re-elected to his seat after earning 100 percent of the vote with 10,445 votes. He ran in the election as a Republican.
