Gordon Swanson

Gordon Swanson is a judge on the Fourth Judicial Circuit Court in South Dakota. He was appointed by Governor Dennis Daugaard (R) on April 28, 2017. Swanson took office in June 2017, after the retirement of Judge Randall L. Macy.[1]
Swanson served as a magistrate judge for the First Judicial Circuit from 2013 to 2017.[2]
Biography
Swanson received his undergraduate degree from South Dakota State University, and earned his J.D. at the University of South Dakota.[3] Swanson served as Minnehaha County Deputy State's Attorney in Sioux Falls from 2003 until his appointment to the bench. Before that, he was a Meade County State's Attorney.[2]
