Gugerty was elected after being one of six candidates to compete for three seats on the court. She won 17.26 percent of the vote on November 6, 2012.[3][4]

2011

Gugerty ran unsuccessfully for election to the New York Supreme Court 10th Judicial District on November 8. She received 9.19 percent of the vote, failing to earn one of the 10 positions on the ballot for that court.[5][6]
