This measure was not put on an election ballot |
Two Idaho State Lands Amendments did not appear on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the state of Idaho. According to reports, the amendments, if passed to the ballot and enacted by voters, would have helped landowners in the state to sell larger tracts of land and would have allowed those owners to sell land in other ways instead on only a public auction. The measures were being sponsored by Senator Chuck Winder.[1]
Path to the ballot
The Idaho State Senate approved of the measures on March 23, 2010, sending the measure for House approval. If the House had approved of the measure by a two-thirds supermajority vote, the measure would have been placed on the November ballot for the voters to decide. Legislative session ended without the measure being sent to the ballot.[2]
