James A. Haynes is a former district court judge for the 21st District Court in Montana, serving on the court from 2002 to 2018. He was first elected to the court in 2002 and retired from the bench in 2018.[1][2]
Education
Haynes received his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona and a J.D. from the University of Montana.[3]
Career
Prior to joining the court in 2002, Haynes was an attorney for twenty years.[4]

Haynes was retained to the 21st District Court with 79.7 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014.He ran unopposed in the primary on June 3, 2014.[5]
