James B. Malloy

James B. Malloy is an associate district court judge of District 2B in Iowa. He was appointed to this position in October 2007.[1] He was retained in 2014 for a term that expired on December 31, 2020.[2]

Malloy was retained to the 2B District Court with 74.5 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [2]
Education
Malloy received his bachelor's degree in 1976 from Iowa State University and his master's in education degree in 1980 from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. He also received his J.D. from the University of Nebraska in 1984.[1]
Career
Malloy began his legal career in 1984 as an assistant Boone County attorney. In 1987, he left that position to work as a private practice lawyer until his judicial appointment in 2007. Also, from 1997 to 2007, he served as a magistrate.[1]
