James D. Ishmael, Jr.
James D. Ishmael, Jr. was a circuit court judge for the 22nd Judicial Circuit, which presides over Fayette County of Kentucky.[1] He was appointed to the court by former Governor Ernie Fletcher in July 2004 and was re-elected without opposition in 2014.[2] Ishmael retired in December 2017.[3]

Education
Ishmael received his undergraduate degree from Eastern Kentucky University in 1969 and his J.D. from the University of Louisville School of Law in 1973.[2][5]
Career
Before he became a judge, Ishmael worked as a trial attorney for thirty-one years.[6]
