James M. Isaacson is a circuit court judge for the Chippewa County Circuit Court in Chippewa County, Wisconsin.[1] He was elected to the position in 2009 to fill the vacancy left by Judge Thomas Sazama's retirement.[2] Following the 2009 election, Isaacson was scheduled to take office on August 1, 2009, but due to an increasing backlog of cases, Gov. Jim Doyle appointed Isaacson to fill the vacancy on July 1, 2009.[3][4] He was re-elected in 2015 for a term that expires in 2021.[5]

Education

Isaacson earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1975 and his J.D. from Marquette University in 1978.[6][4]

Isaacson was re-elected without opposition to the Chippewa County Circuit Court, Branch 2 in 2015. Wisconsin's general judicial election was held on April 7, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates was January 6, 2015.[8][5]
