James Mefferd is a magistrate judge of the Fifth District of Iowa. He was appointed to this position in 1977 to serve Lucas County.[1]
Biography and Education
Mefferd graduated from Iowa State University. He then served in the U.S. Army before receiving his law degree from Washburn School of Law in 1972. He continued to serve in the Army Reserve until 1989. He has two children.[1]
Career
Mefferd has worked as a private practice lawyer.[1]
