James R. Schrand is a circuit judge for the 54th Judicial Circuit. It serves Boone and Gallatin counties of Kentucky.[1] He was appointed to the court by former Governor Ernie Fletcher on February 23, 2007.[2]

Schrand was re-elected to the court without opposition in 2014, winning an eight-year term that expires on January 1, 2023.[3]

Education

Schrand received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky, his master's in business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University, and his J.D. from the Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University.[2][4]

Career

Before his appointment to the court, Schrand served as an attorney for Boone County.[2]
