Janet L. Zoltanski Smith is the Presiding Judge of Vicinage 3 Superior Court in New Jersey. She serves on the Special Civil Division.[1]

Governor Chris Christie nominated Smith in April 2011. She was confirmed by the New Jersey Senate in June.[2][3][4] She must be reappointed in 2018 to remain on the bench.[5][6]

Education

Zoltanski Smith received both her undergraduate degree and J.D. from Duquesne University.[7]

Career

Before joining the court, Zoltanski Smith was in private practice. She has also served as a municipal prosecutor, solicitor and for 12 years worked with the New Jersey Public Defender's Office.[3][8]
