Four of the seven seats on the Medford School Board were up for general election on May 19, 2015. At-large incumbents Ron Andersen, Sally Killen, Kim Wallan and Marlene Yesquen were up for election. While elected at-large, the members run for and serve in specific numbered seats. Wallan was the only incumbent to file to run for re-election. She was defeated by Michael Campbell in her re-election bid for the Position 5 seat.
Karen Starchvick won the open Position 4 seat unopposed. Janet Lightheart defeated Curt Ankerberg for the open Position 6 seat, while Lilia Caballero defeated Kevin Christiansen and Don Libby for the open Position 7 seat.

Funding
Lightheart reported $1,801.00 in contributions and $399.64 in expenditures to the Oregon Secretary of State, which left her campaign with $1,401.36 in cash on hand in this election. However, Lightheart had $1,357.65 in outstanding personal expenditure, making her campaign account balance effectively $43.71.[1]
