Jay Delaney

Jay Brett Delaney is the chief circuit court judge for the 18th Judicial Circuit, which presides over Harrison, Nicholas, Pendleton, and Robertson counties of Kentucky. He was appointed to the court by Governor Steve Beshear in December 2009.[1] Delaney was re-elected by voters in 2010 and 2014, and her current term expires on January 1, 2023.[2][3][4][5]

Delaney received his undergraduate degree from Transylvania University and his J.D. from the University of Colorado at Boulder.[1]
Career
Prior to his appointment to the Circuit Court, Delaney served as a district court judge for the Kentucky District Court 18, Division 1.[8]
