A Jefferson City Sales tax Continuation Question was on the August 2, 2011 ballot in the city of Jefferson which is in Cole County.

  • NO 572 (21.05%)[1]

This measure sought to continue the current sales tax in the city which is set at a rate of .5 percent for a further five years in order to continue to help pay for capital improvement projects in the city.[2]

The question on the ballot:

Shall the City of Jefferson continue the current sales tax of one-half of one percent for the purpose of funding capital improvements by its imposition for the period of April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2017?[3]
