Jenks City General Bond Measure (February 2010)

There were two Jenks City General Bond Measures on the February 9 ballot in Tulsa County for voters in the city of Jenks.

Proposition 1, $5.2 Million bond, was approved

  • YES 347 (56.15%)Approveda
  • NO 271 (43.85%)

Proposition 2, $1.5 Million bond, was defeated

  • YES 291 (47.09%)
  • NO 327(52.91%)Defeatedd[1]

The two measures sought to create a bonds in the total amount of $6.7 million which would increase local property taxes on average about $34 a year. The money from these bonds would be used for remodeling the police station and other public works buildings along with over city improvements.[2]
