Joe Boatwright II is a judge of the Putnam County Court in Florida. He was elected to this position on Nov. 6, 2012 (effective the following January) for a term that expired on January 8, 2019.[1]
Education
Boatwright received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and his J.D. degree from the Catholic University, Columbus School of Law. He also earned a specialized degree in tax law from University of Florida, Levin College of Law.[2]
Career
Boatwright worked for the Law Office of Donald E. Holmes and then as an assistant state attorney in Putnam County prior to his election to the County Court in 2012. He has also taught as an adjunct professor at the Florida Coastal School of Law.[2]
2012 election
Boatwright defeated Tito S. Smith in the general election on Nov. 6, 2012, receiving 55.9% of the vote. He previously received 43.8% of the vote in the primary election on August 14, 2012.[1][3][4]
