Joel A. Dalrymple is a judge of District 1B in Iowa. He was appointed to this position by Governor Terry Branstad in August of 2012 to replace Judge Thomas N. Bower.[1][2] He was retained in 2014 for a term that expires on December 31, 2020.[3]

Dalrymple was retained to the District 1B Court with 74.2 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [3]
Education
Dalrymple received his undergraduate degree from Loras College in 1993 and his J.D. from Drake University Law School in 1996.[2]
Career
Dalrymple worked for the Black Hawk County Attorney's Office prior to becoming a judge. He was promoted to first assistant of that office in 2006. In 2012, he was appointed to the district court.[2]
