John H. Bayly, Jr.
John H. Bayly, Jr. was an associate judge for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.[1] He was appointed to the court in September 1990 and retired on April 22, 2011. [2][3]
Education
Bayly received his undergraduate degree from Fordham College and his J.D. in 1969, from Harvard Law School.[4]
Career
Bayly began his legal career as a staff attorney with the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. Next, he worked with the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in the General Counsel's office. In 1978, Bayly joined the United States Attorney's Office. Seven years later, he became general counsel of the Legal Services Corporation; only two years later became president. In 1989, Bayly joined the firm of Stein, Mitchell & Mezines, where he worked until his appointment to the Superior Court.[3]
