John Prokos

John Prokos is a judge for the Third Circuit Court of Sweetwater County, Wyoming. Prokos was appointed by Governor Matt Mead in June 2013 to replace retired judge E. Victoria Schofield.[1] He was later retained by voters in 2014, winning a four-year term that expired on January 6, 2019. [2]

Prokos was retained to the Third Circuit Court with 76.1 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [3]
Education
Prokos received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from Valparaiso University.[1]
Career
Immediately prior to his appointment to the bench, Prokos was the deputy county attorney in Sweetwater County, Wyoming. He has also previously worked as a public defender and in private practice.[1]
