Joe Scott was the Chief Judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Eastern District of Kentucky. He was appointed to the bench to succeed Judge Lee and was named Chief Judge in October 2001. Scott retired from the court on September 30, 2012.[1][2]

Education

Judge Scott attended The University of Notre Dame for his Bachelor of Business Administration degree and The University of Kentucky for his J.D.[3][2]

Career

Scott practiced law with the Lexington firm of Stoll, Keenon & Park, where he chaired the Bankruptcy section.[2]
