Judge Faulkner to retire from Justice Court, three candidates seek to replace him

Mississippi: Three Republican candidates are seeking to replace retiring Judge Tommy Faulkner on the Madison County Justice Court in Mississippi. The primary race is set for August 2nd and will include current public defenders Trey O'Cain and Gregory J. Weber and former English teacher Marsha Weems Stacey. The winner of the primary will run unopposed in the general election, due to the absence of any Democratic candidates.
O'Cain currently works as a public defender of the Madison County Justice Court, practices as an attorney with O'Cain Law and is the attorney for the Madison County Planning and Zoning Commission. Weber, who has practiced law for over 20 years, also works as a public defender in Madison County. Stacey is a former teacher who will take the state Bar exam soon. She has worked with court employees at the Madison and Rankin County justice courts and at the Mississippi College of Law.[1]
