Judge Mackey retires from District Court

Mason City, Iowa: Judge John S. Mackey, of the 2nd District Court, retired from the court on July 1, 2010. The 52-year-old judge has judged on this court since 1990. Previously, he worked as a private practice lawyer and a judicial magistrate. "I am looking forward to retirement as you might imagine. I think I am ready," he said. The Governor will appoint his successor.[1]
