Judge Placey seeks seat on Common Pleas Court

Pennsylvania: Judge Thomas A. Placey of the Cumberland County Magisterial District in Pennsylvania, has announced his candidacy to fill a vacancy on the Cumberland County Court of Common Pleas. Due to the retirement of Judge Wesley Oler and the addition of a new judgeship, there are currently two vacancies on the Court of Common Pleas. Placey is 49 years old and has served as a magisterial district judge since 1998. Regarding his candidacy, he stated, “I have done my utmost to always be fair, honest, forthright, and courteous to everyone who appears in court – to weigh matters with reason and without partiality – and to treat others as I would hope to be treated.” The primary election will be held on May 17, 2011.[1][2]
