Judge Schmidt announces retirement

Wisconsin: Judge Bruce Schmidt has announced his retirement from the Winnebago County Circuit Court, effective September 7, 2010. Gov. Doyle will appoint a new judge to serve until the end of the term on July 31, 2015.
Judge Schmidt has served on the bench since 1991. He first announced retirement in the summer of 2008, but decided against it after his wife passed away.[1]
