Kentucky county judge executive cleared of drug charges
May 11, 2010
Kentucky: On Monday, May 10, a grand jury exonerated Joe Grieshop, a Harlan County Judge-Executive, of drug charges brought by a female informant claiming that Grieshop gave her pills in his office. The case caused some controversy when Harlan Circuit Judge Russell D. Alred had ordered that a special grand jury be set up for the case, and Grieshop voluntarily took a lie detector test which showed that he was not lying when he denied the informants claims.[1]
