A Longview City Safety Cameras Advisory Vote measure was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Cowlitz County, which is in Washington, where it was approved.
The yes vote on this measure advised the City Council to continue the use of automated traffic safety cameras in school zones. A no vote on this measure would have advised the City Council to discontinue the use of safety cameras in school zones. No legislation will come about directly from the approval or rejection of this measure.[1]

This Proposition No. 1 is to consider the continued use of automated traffic safety cameras in school zones only. This proposition is an advisory vote for consideration by the City Council. Should the City of Longview continue with the use of automated traffic safety cameras in school zones? | ” |
