The Louisiana Annexed Areas Amendment, also known as Amendment 49, was on the ballot in Louisiana on November 5, 1968, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. It proposed that municipalities could levy taxes and contract services for areas annexed by the municipality.[1]
