The Louisiana City Court Jurisdiction Amount Amendment, also known as Amendment 31, was on the ballot in Louisiana on November 5, 1968, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. It proposed to increase the jurisdictional amount of some city courts. These courts would be those in cities with a population between 5,000 and 10,000 people or those in cities in the parish seat.[1]
