Louisiana Mineral Rights Amendment (October 1995)

The Louisiana Mineral Rights Amendment, also known as Amendment 9, was on the ballot in Louisiana on October 21, 1995, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. It proposed that the state could return mineral rights to the previous landowner after the state reclaimed coastal property that was being lost to erosion.[1][2]
