The Louisiana Orleans Parish Juvenile Court Amendment, also known as Amendment 33, was on the ballot in Louisiana on November 5, 1968, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. It proposed that the juvenile court in Orleans parish would no longer have jurisdiction over cases concerning people charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor or harming the well-being of a minor. These cases would be heard in the criminal district court of New Orleans unless they were punishable by death or hard labor.[1]
