The Louisiana Pontchartrain Levee Amendment, also known as Amendment 42, was on the ballot in Louisiana on November 5, 1968, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. It proposed to allow the Pontchartrain Levee district to issue bonds for the building of levees.[1]
