The Louisiana Raise Ad Valorem Assessments Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the ballot in Louisiana on November 6, 1979, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. It proposed to raise the property tax assessment on public service properties, excluding electric cooperatives, to 25 percent.[1][2]
