Louisiana State Budget Controls Amendment (October 1990)

The Louisiana State Budget Controls Amendment, also known as Amendment 2, was on the ballot in Louisiana on October 6, 1990, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. It proposed a number of measures to control the usage of state funds including requiring an initial estimate of revenues and prohibiting appropriations to exceed that official forecast. It also would establish a Revenue Stabilization/Mineral Trust Fund for the deposit of certain revenues.[1]
