A Lyons Rural Fire Protection District Bond measure was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Linn County, which is in Oregon, where it was defeated.
If approved, this measure would have authorized the Lyons Rural Fire Protection District to issue up to $1 million in general obligation bonds to be used for the purchasing and equipping of two public safety vehicles. These bonds would mature in 10.5 years or less and would be payable through property taxes with an estimated rate of $0.6425 per $1,000 of assessed valuation.[1]

| “ | Shall Lyons Rural Fire Protection District be authorized to issue general obligation bonded indeptedness not exceeding $1,000,000? If the bonds are approved, they will be payable from taxes on property or property ownership that are not subject to the limits of sections 11 and 11b, Article XI of the Oregon Constitution.[1][2] | ” |
