Magisterial District Judge Carter sets retirement for 2012

Chambersburg, Pennsylvania: Magisterial District Judge Gary L. Carter, of the Franklin County Magisterial District in Pennsylvania, plans to retire at the end of his term in January of 2012. The 67 year old judge explained, "I figure it is just time (for retirement)...I will be able to relax and do what I want to do, when I want to do it." He has served on this court since January of 1994. Prior to that, he worked as a State Police trooper from 1966 to 1985 and the owner of a local restaurant and bar from 1985 to 1993.[1]
