Magistrate Burgess retires from Probate Court

Youngstown, Ohio: Richard L. Burgess, chief magistrate of the Mahoning County probate court, retired on May 21, 2010. He had served on the probate court since 2001. Earlier in life, he served for five years in the Navy. He then worked as a market manager for Ohio Bell for 22 years before becoming a lawyer. His legal career consisted of seven years of private practice followed by ten years as a senior staff attorney with the 7th District Court of Appeals.[1]
