Maitland City Amendment 9: Filling Mayoral Vacancy was approved on the March 12, 2013 election ballot in Orange County, which is in Florida.

This measure amended the Maitland City Charter to establish that when the office of Mayor is vacant it shall be filled by a vote of the people at the next scheduled municipal election.[1]

Text of the question:

Shall the Maitland Charter be amended to require that in the event that a Mayor's seat is vacated, election of a new Mayor shall take place at the next scheduled municipal election?[1][2]
