Angelides ran in the 2012 election for Massachusetts House of Representatives Second Hampden District. Angelides defeated Enrico John Villamaino, III in the September 6 Republican primary and was defeated by incumbent Brian Michael Ashe (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[1]

Angelides is the Republican candidate who ran for election to the Second Hampden seat in 2010. She defeated Enrico Villamaino, III in the September 14 Republican primary. She was defeated by Brian Michael Ashe (D) in the general election on November 2, 2010.

Angelides is the daughter of a Greek father and an American mother from Ohio. She met her husband, Anastasios Angelides, the chief of Pediatric Gastroenterology at Baystate Medical Center, while living and studying in Greece.[2]
