Arkansas: Former judge Mary Ann Gunn has been prohibited from ever again serving in the Arkansas judicial system. The Arkansas Judicial and Disability Commission made a deal with Gunn: they would drop three misconduct charges against her if she agreed to never seek a position within the judiciary again. Because the charges were not publicized in a hearing, the commission will not disclose the details.[1]

After resigning from the court, Gunn has starred in the television show "Last Shot with Judge Gunn". The show mimics the actions of a drug court and has not surprisingly been the subject of criticism. In September, the National Association of Drug Court Professionals publicly disparaged the show, explaining that it was confusing to the public since people featured are not actually participating in the court system.[1]

When she was serving on the Fourth Circuit Court, Gunn would also record court proceedings for public access television. This practice drew at least one complaint from an actual defendant that appeared in her courtroom.[1]
