The Maryland Alteration of Signature Requirements Amendment, also known as Question 5, was on the November 2, 1982 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure altered requirements for signers of petitions and persons who attest to the authenticity of the signature.[1]
