The Maryland Civil Military Office Amendment, also known as Question 1, was on the November 6, 1990 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure allowed state and local officials to serve at the same time as a member of a reserve component of the United States armed forces or as a member of the federal or state militia.[1]
